THREE thousand people helped to raise £3,500 for charity at a Christmas fair in Chepstow.
The event, now in its third year, was held at St Pierre, a Marriott Hotel & Country Club, in aid of St David’s Hospice.
Visitors were treated to performances from local choirs, more than 50 stalls selling gifts, a hog roast and Santa’s Grotto.
All proceeds from stall hire by local businesses were donated by the venue to St David’s Hospice along with all proceeds from the sale of teas, coffees and roast chestnuts.
Robin Crane, the director of sales at St Pierre, said: “The Christmas fair is always a popular event and we were thrilled with the amount raised this year.
“St David’s Hospice has lots of loyal supporters across the area and with so many stalls and so much entertainment on offer there was something for everyone again this year,” he said.
