TWO schools in Torfaen have been ranked at the lowest level as part of a new colour coded rating system for Wales’ schools.
The new model, which was unveiled by education minister Huw Lewis last September, replaces the previous banding system. Schools are now rated as red if they are at the bottom, rising up through amber, yellow and green if they are at the top.
Griffithstown Primary School in Pontypool and Llantarnam School were Torfaen County Borough’s 'red' schools.
