SOLDIERS and cadets marched through Abergavenny for the town's civic service celebration.
The civic service is a traditional event to celebrate the mayor's role in the area.
Led by the Abergavenny air training corps, the parade marched from the town hall to Abergavenny Baptist Church where a service was held on Sunday.
Shoppers in the town watched on and applauded as dignitaries, including town councillors and mayors from Abergavenny, Usk and Monmouth, marched through the town.
Despite some showers, the rain held off in the main for the march, before a service was held at the baptist church, led by the Rev Michael Orsmond.
