WITH the 75th anniversary of VE Day taking place on Friday on Gwent business is offering you the chance to enjoy a very special takeaway afternoon tea to make the most of the celebrations.

The ‘VE Day Celebratory Afternoon Tea’ has been added to the menu this bank holiday by the Celtic Manor Resort as part of its ongoing #celticathome takeaway service.

The celebratory-themed treat (£12.50) includes a selection of savoury bites, sandwiches, and delicious cakes and pastries, and is a lovely addition for creating a commemorative atmosphere with your family on this very special day.

This local click and collect service is contact-free and easy to order and pick up as part of an essential shop. The menu changes weekly and offers a small selection of delicious meals which have proven to be rather popular among the neighbouring community, selling out each week.

Other dishes available this weekend include a Saturday night Rib Sharing Platter (£25 per platter for two) which comes with a variety of dishes which all ooze Southern-inspired flavours. You can expect creole spiced homemade tortilla chips, grilled chorizo sausages, deep fried mac 'n' cheese, house smoked chicken wings, Cajun spiced breaded champignons… to name but a few!
