Police have released an image of a man they would like to trace after a man was hospitalised following an alleged assault in a city centre pub two years ago.
Police received a report that a man in his 20s had been assaulted in Market Shaker, in the Bigg Market, Newcastle, at about 12.30am on Saturday, April 2, 2022.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "It was reported that the victim had begun a conversation with some other males who bumped into him.

"He was then punched by a man, causing injuries to his face.
"The victim required hospital treatment for his injuries and was later discharged."
Although two years have passed since the assault was first reported, a number of lines of inquiry have been carried out since by officers.
