Two tries scored by centre Matthew Francombe-Ross put Utd back to winning ways against third placed Blaina.
Utd took first blood when centre Ross crashed over near the posts and outside half Richard Jenkins added the extras. The away side then scored a fine try through their backs which was also converted to tie the scores 7-7 at the interval.
The second half continued to be a very tight affair and Blaina scored first with a long range penalty.
With about fifteen minutes to go Utd got their reward for all their effort as Ross again crashed over and Jenkins converted to make the final score 14-10 in favour of the Utd. Next week Utd travel to local rivals Cwmbran hoping to continue their winning form.
