THROUGHOUT March, Curves in Chepstow and Caldicot is teaming up with Solas Cymru to help collect food for local homeless people.
Every year, Curves branches across the country select a charity to collect donations for throughout the month of March. This year, local Curves manager, Simon Griffiths says they have opted to collect food donations for Chepstow's Hill House, a shelter run by Solas Cymru which provides accommodation for homeless young people.
He said: "With the country the way it is now, more and more people are finding themselves in situations where they are becoming homeless. We wanted to do something to recognise this and help the homeless young people in our own community, because yes there are homeless people in our own community."
He added: "What we are asking all our members to do throughout March is to donate non-perishable food items at either the Chepstow or Caldicot branches or at one of the local churches who have agreed to act as drop off point for us.
"Members of the public are welcome to make a donation at the drop off points too. At the end of the month we will donate what we have collected to Hill House."
