Newport-based Monmouthshire Building Society has received multiple accolades at the 2020 Moneyfacts Awards.
The awards recognise the best products and services from UK financial service providers.
The mutual, which has its head office in John Frost Square, beat competition from high-street banks and national building societies to win the coveted awards for Best Service from a Mortgage Provider and Best First Time Buyer Mortgage Provider.
The society was also highly commended in the Regional Lending Provider category.
Monmouthshire Building Society CEO Will Carroll said: “We’re absolutely delighted with our wins at this year’s Moneyfacts Awards. As a member-led mutual, providing outstanding service is our core mission, so we’re especially proud to win the Best Service award. The win shows that regional building societies can compete with the big banks by offering a friendly, personal approach.”
Dan Goulding, product development manager, said: “We’re thrilled to have been named Best First Time Buyer Mortgage Provider. At Monmouthshire Building Society, we really care about helping people take their first steps on the property ladder by offering competitive mortgages and supportive service.”
